Hello Particle Community!
This is the announcement you have all been waiting for! The Round 1 Particle Allocations have been released! Check your inboxes to see if you received an allocation. The purpose of this post is to answer questions that you may have about the whitelist allocation process and what happens next.
How Will The Sale Work?
The sale will be split into 48-hour rounds. The email that was just sent out is for the Round 1 allocations. If you signed up for the whitelist but didn’t receive an email, don’t worry! You may have a chance to purchase in future rounds.
During each round, individuals will receive their allocations which will be at least 1 Particle but potentially up to the entire amount that was requested. Individuals MUST purchase their ENTIRE allocation within the 48-hour period or risk forfeiting it to another individual in a future round.
At the end of Round 1, we will send out another set of emails informing people of their allocations in Round 2. This process will repeat until all Particles are sold.
As Particles are sold, they will be minted to the individual’s wallet. Each Particle will be randomly selected within the 100x100 grid of the painting as it is minted. Individuals will not have the option to choose which Particle they wish to purchase. To avoid individuals trying to game the system, we have created a process where there is no way to check what Particle is being minted before it is minted.
Once Particles are fully distributed, they will be available to be listed/purchased on secondary markets. Our preferred secondary market partner is marketplace.kalao.io/. Be sure to stay on the lookout for more announcements about the secondary market.
Demand has been extremely high. We have made the process very strict so that only serious, dedicated collectors and community members will participate. If you did not make the list for Round 1, do not lose hope! We expect a significant number of individuals will have the chance to participate in Round 2 and potentially Round 3 or Round 4. Be sure to remain engaged and follow along throughout this process.
Who is on the Whitelist?
Our goal from day 1 was to have as many Particles owned by the community as possible. Whitelist individuals have come from the following sources:
- Contests, Giveaways and Community Events
- Whitelist Promotion Event
- Referral Campaign
- Partners (Voyager, Avalanche, Impossible Finance)
- Individuals from the General Whitelist
We believe that this blend of individuals reflects our diverse and dedicated community. We recognize that no process is perfect and not every community member who wants a Particle will have a chance to purchase one at the mint, but we’ve tried our best to make the distribution as fair and equitable as possible. There are 5,530 individuals on the whitelist with an average allocation of 1.627 Particles each.
What Happens Now?
If you haven’t already, be sure to join our discord (https://discord.gg/Particlecollection). We will be communicating closely with the community throughout this process and it is the best way to stay up to date or ask for questions/support.
Again, If you did not receive an allocation, stay engaged! We expect there to be Particles available in future rounds. You may have one last chance to get access! We plan to run some campaigns in the discord channel to give newcomers the opportunity to get onto the list for Round 2 and subsequent rounds.
General Reminders
As a general reminder, there have been several targeted phishing and scam attacks against the community. Please remain vigilant and do not trust unsolicited members from individuals purporting to be team members.
The sale will take place on a subdomain of particlecollection.com. Do not trust any other domain. If you do not see Particlecollection.com as the domain, it is likely a scam. If you have any questions or hesitations, feel free to ask the mods/team members in discord. When in doubt, ask us.

Looking to the Future
We are extremely excited to embark on this journey with all of you. We believe that this marks an important milestone for Avalanche, Particle and NFTs more broadly. We believe that this can be the beginning of a movement that radically changes the way that people own, collect and experience fine art masterpieces and we are grateful for each and every one of you for coming along with us on this journey.
